Ready, Set, Go
Ready, set, go
Set a timer for ten minutes. Open a new post. Start the timer, and start writing. When the timer goes off, publish.
Today is Monday, one of my longest days and definitely not one of my favorite days.
I got to work and then I go to more work. I go without dinner (a banana and a can of pears substitutes) and then I get home with only an hour or two to spare.
I’m always relieved when I get home.
I wish I didn’t feel that way, but I do and I’m not going to deny it. I just can’t wait until the day where Monday isn’t “Monday” anymore, where everyday is a new adventure in writing and I enjoy waking up to take it on.
This winter is already going fast. It’s almost February and we just had Christmas last week. This means I have a couple more months of long Monday’s. It also means I lose a part of my income, which is not good, but boy, it’s sure a pushing factor for this blog.
This prompt is not a story, in fact my usual website wouldn’t open, so I went to google and found the first prompt I could find. With no actual story lingering in it, we get much more of a journal entry.
That’s okay. It’s good to refresh the week with a raw entry. Tomorrow will be time for more creativity, visual and on paper.
We’re going step by step here people and though I lack patience, it’s starting to go well. I have a good grasp on the content I’m posting and I’m actually excited about it! It doesn’t feel like a chore, ever.
That’s half of goal right there, now I just need to make money off it. Like, a lot of money.
Quite an interesting goal, but I’m not going to stop until I get it because, guys, I just really don’t want to be an employee to a company I don’t like. I’m also a full leader and not a bit follower, so working at the bottom where I’m not involved in everything is kind of a doozy for me.
Maybe there’s an inkling of control freak wandering around, but mostly I just like to at least know what is going on. Working blindly doesn’t work well for me.
We come to the end of the ten minutes now. I may have cheated and checked the time, but like I said, I like to know what’s going on. 🙂
Like I said my good ol’ thinkwritten.com wouldn’t open up for me this morning! I resorted to scrolling through this, instead until I found something that would work.
All I got to say is I hope it opens up tomorrow. The prompts on that page are much better than what I worked with today, but we did it anyway because that’s what we do! We figure shit out and move forward.
